This is a full-time (academic year appointment) clinical faculty position for the College of Law’s Boise location, at the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor. The faculty member in this position will be an integral part of the legal writing faculty team. This faculty member will be responsible for teaching up to two sections each semester of the College’s first-year legal writing course and will work collaboratively with the other legal writing faculty members to develop the course curriculum and major writing assignments. The faculty member may also teach an additional course depending on areas of interest and the College’s curricular needs. The faculty member will also attend faculty meetings and serve on committees at the University and/or College level.
- a J.D. from an accredited school or the equivalent
- a distinguished academic record
- at least three years of post-J.D. practice, clerking, or teaching experience
- demonstrated excellent legal research and writing skills
- a record of excellence in teaching or related experience
- a record of excellence in creating a safe, welcoming, and dynamic learning environment of belonging for all students, or related experience.
- Successful completion of the bar exam in at least one U.S. state
- a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others.
