carving class for kids

Create permanent sculptures of animals, people or whatever you like. Learn about the construction from Karen He Leonold, a professional salt dough artist who has done many of the paintings in the children’s room. Registration is required for both dates.

The instructor will practice various yoga poses. The instructor fee is $5.
August 21, 6-7pm
Sharpen your musical skills with RockAbility members. This group uses music therapy techniques to develop rhythm and melody skills. Adults with developmental disabilities and their parents are welcome to attend. Bring your instrument or use the library.
Kids Abstract Art Lesson

Prepare for the kids’ art show with an art lesson from renowned artist Mary Ann Sediby. Great for kids interested in crafting, getting dirty, and having fun while learning something new about making art. Registration required.
Kids art show drop-off
From August 28th to September 8th.
Youth ages 3 to 15 may submit work for display in the children’s area of the library. Prizes will be awarded according to division and age. Bring your work to the library and fill out an entry form to be eligible for the contest.
